CFP Board Registered Programs:
Jim was the founding program director of the Financial Planning Certificate Programs at The University of Texas at Austin, where he also served as adjunct instructor, and at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Jim led staff in developing and managing a certificate program in financial planning through the Professional Development Center at UT and the School of Education and Human Development at SMU. These professional certificate programs were developed to train financial services professionals seeking their CFP certification. Jim created the feasibility study and subsequent business and marketing plans, designed and developed curriculum, hired and managed instructors, delivered workshops and seminars, and consulted with students and prospective students. The result was the successful development and launch of Financial Planning Certificate Programs at both universities which have experienced enrollment of hundreds of students.
